Alpha Wedge

Data Sheet 35

Full Lindapter catalogue available on request

The Alpha Wedge is designed to lock quickly and securely into the re-entrant channel of Alphalok or Ribdeck AL decking to enable the suspension of all types of building services using threaded rod. The product consists of two parts, a wedge and a plate. The wedge can be tapped to accommodate threaded rod sizes M6, M8 or M10, whilst the plate fits over the wedge to lock the assembly

securely into the decking.

1 Pre-assemble the alpha wedge onto the threaded rod as shown in diagram 1.

Step 2 Insert the wedge into the re-entrant channel of the decking, flat surface uppermost and rotate until the chamfered cams engage in the sides of the channel, holding the wedge firmly in place.

Step 3 Slide the plate up the threaded rod, over the wedge, to lock it in position in the channel

Step 4 Tighten the locknut beneath the plate to hold the assembly in position.

Multiwedge 2

Multiwedge 2 enables quick and easy suspension of building services from Ward Building Components' Multideck 60 composite steel/concrete floor decking. Designed to work in harmony with the deck profile, MW2 eliminates the need for shot firing or drilling and hence preserves the strength of the floor decking by avoiding any potential damage. No skilled labour is needed for installation, nor is any special tooling. Once the fixing has been inserted into the re-entrant channel of the decking it can be laterally adjusted before final tightening. The 'Multi-Nut' can be tapped to accommodate threaded rod size M6, M8 or M10.

Step 1 Position Multi-nut and bracket on threaded rod as shown and insert one leg of bracket into re-entrant channel of decking. Snap other leg of bracket into channel, using a hammer blow if required.

Step 2 Slide assembly to desired position along length of re-entrant channel.

Step 3 Push and turn the multi-nut clockwise until it locks into the channel walls.

Step 4 Tighten the hexagon nut beneath the assembly to a torque of 10Nm.
