Holding Down Bolts

The indented foundation bolt is a proved and accepted means of obtaining a positive and permanent anchorage to Floors.  The disposition of the angular faces on the indented portion has been designed to withstand high axial stresses.   

Square Square Round Hex Holding Down Bolts

The Square Square Round Hex Holding Down Bolt is the more modern approach for anchoring into floors.  The system would usually comprise of the holding down bolt, a square plate washer and either a metal or poly bolt box.

The partnership of the bolt and square hole washer prevents the bolts rotation after installation.  The bolt boxes are commonly used to create a void around the bolt which enables minor adjustment after the concrete has set.
